I'm still utterly gutted about how they converted a beautiful WRX Concept into a design that is as inspiring as a Toyota Corolla. But it looks like the interior got a much needed overhaul and there is no doubt that Subaru knows how to build drivers cars.

Needs moar fender flare!!! Otherwise- seems like a pretty impressive replacement for the current generation

Note to Subaru. Stop making such great looking concept cars, then people won't be disappointed in the actual production car.

Also, bring back the hatch!

LOL it doesn't have gears you dummy! The CVT mimics gear ratios. It's a softer and slower version of the used-to-be-good WRX.

I reckon the next minor facelift will make it look like a proper proper replacement. Is there an STi version coming out anytime soon?

Am I the only person on the planet who didn't like the concept? It screamed "Monster Energy drink fo' life, yo! Swagyolo bitches!" It also looked downright impractical, with that absurdly narrow greenhouse that obliterated any outward visibility. The hood was overly bulbous, the headlights and foglights were over the top and distracting, and the lime green accents incredibly immature.

The only part of the concept I liked was the tail lights, rear fender flares, and front fascia. That's it. And you know what? I never expected those to make it to the production model, so I wasn't disappointed when the final tail lights weren't like the concepts. But the front fascia and rear fenders, while toned down and subdued, actually did make it to the production model for the most part.

As for the final production car, I like the way it looks. It's matured. It's subtle. It no longer screams "Look at me! I have something to prove!" No, now it looks more confident, more poised, and more practical. In essence, were it not for the hood scoop, it would be a complete sleeper. I like sleepers.

Also, glad to see the reviews have all been extremely positive so far as the way it drives. I'm surprised the CVT has garnered as much praise as it has. Leave it to Subaru to shock everybody with a quality CVT adaption, lol. The only thing I'm a little disappointed with? The wheel-brake torque vectoring. I understand it's a cost thing, but I wish they could've added actual differential-based torque vectoring.

I'm starting to warm up to this car. I think Subaru did an awful job revealing it, but the more I see it in different poses the more I like it. Sounds like it might be a real winner
